	Wire Gauge Explained
We recommend using 18 Gauge wire in the installation of these pet containment systems.

Use 20 Gauge if: You have loose, sandy soil Your yard has little vegetation Your wire will be buried in low traffic areas	Use 18 Gauge if: You have rocky soil Your yard has a lot of vegetation in it Your wire will be buried in high traffic areas You will be installing your wire above ground
